Blackberries Nestie Frame

PAD_NestieFrame_tbuOk, so check this out — are you ready?? Pez-aDoodle Designs has this frame for Nesties 2 available for $1.99 as a digital download!!!! How fabulous is that? I really am loving that more and more companies are offering digi stamps — they are so cool! You get the image in two different size, so it is like a two-for-one deal!

I cuttlebugged my two layers – the Memory Box dp and the Pink Pirouette cardstock. I added a bit of handstitching at the bottom, and a pretty gold edged organdy ribbon — I really wanted the frame to be the focus. My sentiment is from SU.

Sorry for the late post today – I’ve been in a whirlwind today trying to clean my craft room (I finally got enough off the floor to vacuum!!).  Have a wonderful day!!!!

InStyle Stamps Wednesday Challenge!

ISS_Ariel_tbuThis is Ariel, a digital image from InStyle Stamps. Isn’t she adorable? I sized her large, so she could be the main focus of my summer themed card.

She is colored with Copics, and then I painted Shimmerz on her top and he tail. So she is quite sparkly in real life!

I didn’t do much else, except use little bubble self adhesive thingies in the corner. I had some random dp that reminded me of the ocean, so I used that. My card base is River Rock, and my matting layer is Blue Bayou.

Head over to the Instyle Stamps blog for all of the details on our challenge, what the prize is for playing along, and how you can get in on the action! Also visit the blogs of the other Design Divas – their links are on the right sidebar.

Spirit of Power

CPCM_CPC07_tbuI made this for last week’s Color Monday challenge over at Christian Paper Crafts Magazine. They have such fun challenges, and it is a great place to gather and chat with other women! They have a gallery to upload pics to, and all sorts of other extras like Bible Study, a Question of the Day, a General Chit Chat area – you have to go check it out!

On this card, I used two Our Daily Bread Designs sets – Scripture Collection 2 and May God Hold You. I used a Copic marker to highlight some words and some flowers, a white gel pen to add dots (I love dots), Nesties, and my Cuttlebug with the texture folder for the black layer. I totally enjoyed making this card!

I hope you’ll come and visit us over on the CPCM boards, and participate in the challenges! there are some for scrapbookers as well!

Beach Bunny

ISS_BeachBunny_tbuThis is Beach Bunny, from the InStyle Stamps line of Beach Time Fun Digital Downloads. Isn’t she fun??

To match the color on both the bottle of suntan lotion and the sun (both buttons I purchased from Hobby Lobby in a “beachy” pack) I got out my Copics to see what would work best. On the towel, I went with my darkest yellow, an highlight of brown to match the bottle.

I added an Imaginisce sentiment, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, to make the white space go away, highlighted with More Mustard just as my main image panel is. My dp is by Prima, from their Eire collection. My card base is Basic Black, to complement her sunglasses and the ink color on the sentiment.

To get the best view of the picture, click on it to make it bigger. I really love this card!

Fun with Lizzie Anne Designs

LAD_EmptyChair_tbuI thought I’d share a few LAD cards that I haven’t had time to post!

LAD_LightShine_tbuand another one…..

LAD_GreenLantern_tbuand one more….LAD_Stylish_tbuThanks for taking the time to look!

Barb is Bowling!

ISS_PolkaDotBowling_tbuThis is Barb, and she is one of the retro images from InStyle stamps. Isn’t she the most fun? I love that she is bowling! I haven’t done that in so long! I totally want to go now though – she has inspired me, lol!

I colored her using Copic markers, and made the bowling ball polka dotted just for fun. The rest of the card is pretty underwhelming – plain and simple. I do love the Primas  I used – they are from the Carribean collection, St. Martin, by Prima. I can’t remember where I bought them, but I love them!

Have a great Sunday, everyone!

LPS Monday

LPS_NeighPony_tbuIt is challenge time over at the {Little Paper Shop} blog again! This week we have an awesome sketch by Cindy Haffner (check out her blog here) – isn’t it the cutest? I inadvertently left out the long vertical piece on mine, but of well – it was just a guideline, right???

I just think this farmyard set that LPS makes is so stinkin’ adorable! This one reminds me of Butterscotch, my daughter’s animatronic pony. No real ones for her yet! He just looks so cuddly! And the sentiment cracks me up – don’t ask me why. It just tickles my funny bone in the right kind of way, lol.

Cindy_Haffner_LPS_2Here’s a copy of Cindy’s awesome sketch! I don’t think mine turned out too bad – I am bothered that I forgot the vertical piece because I’m silly like that. I might have to make another card to make it up to myself!

I colored my image with Copics and used Versafine Jet Black ink to stamp it with. I used Nesties to cut out my ovals. The dp came from Jacksonbelle’s store, but I don’t know what line it is – oops!

I hope everyone had a relaxing Mother’s Day yesterday, and I hope you all have a wonderful Monday (as far as Mondays go ;))

Etsy Sunday (yes, I’m a day late)

Etsy_Fairy_tbuI didn’t get a chance to post my Etsy card yesterday, because I was out of town all da. I had lunch with my mom, and then went to see my mother-in-law in the afternoon. So, I’m posting it today. My card is based on the sweeest little ballerina fairy from this weeks’ shop, I used the colors in it to inspire my card – it’s kind of a stretch, but somethimes my imagination leads me astray, lol.il_430xN.53240124

See – isn’t she just the most darling thing? She seems so carefree and happy. I am seriously thinking about ordering on for my daughter’s room – it has the perfect shade of green in it! I used a Stampin’ Up st I forgot I had on my card, and am so thrilled I found it in the drawer! The fairies wings are painted with Pixie Dust Shimmerz Blingz, and everything else is colord with Copics.

I sponged around the edges with Pale Plum ink and added the sentiment in the oval punches to the top. It took me a little while to decide on the placement of that, but in the end I chose front and center!

Have a HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY everyone!

Such Fun!

iss_momandbaby_tbuDoesn’t Carly look like she is having the best time playing with that little cutie? I sure do wish I looked that good when my little one was that old, lol. No baby fat left on that momma! InStyle Stamps makes the cutest retro stamps, I swear!

I used one of my favorite layout variations on this card – I adore the triangle pieces that divide the card in half. You can place the image panel anywhere, and it still looks good.

I colored my image using a combination of Prismacolor and Copic markers. Her earrings and necklace are colored with a silver gel pen. I added glitter to the little cuties outfit with my Sakura glitter pen. Added a bit of bling and ribbon and that was it for this card – pretty simple and straightforward!

I hope everyone has a great Wednesday evening!!

Granola Cleo

pad_granolacleo_tbuThat’s right – Princess Cleo has gone granola on us! What do you think? LOL 🙂

I had more fun making this card – she is so fun to color! It’s a pretty simple layout  and I used Basic Grey Granola dp as my background. Once I tied the brown twill on, she was all done!

I really love the new images that Pez-a-Doodle has come out with – they are so cute! They totally feed my need for more Copics, though – I want to be able to color more! I hope everyone enjoys their Wednesdays – the work week is halfway over!

Believe in Miracles

tgf_believefairy_tbuThe Greeting Farm akes the cutest stamps, I swear! I love all three of their fairies – I adore fairies period, lol! Thhis card was definitely based on a sketch challenge, but I cannot remember where I found it – it’s been awhile and I’ve been procrastinating about posting this!

My little fairy is clored with Copics, and her wings are coverd with Pixie Dust  Shimmerz Blingz. Her eyeshadow is Fruit Punch Stickles. I used Nesties to do the ovals at the bottom, and the sentiment came from TGF’s Shepherd Boy set. I added some dew drops in the top left corner, and fell in love with this card!

I did paper pierce under the sentiment just to add a little something to it – I think the whole thing tured out great! I just wih I could remember who’s sketch challenge this was! Maybe it was a Mojo Monday one. Hmmm…….

Have a terrific Sunday everyone!

Spring Cupcake

pad_springcupcake_tbuOk, once again I started out doing a clean and simple challenge from SCS, and it went a bit awry. I didn’t want to distress the edges, so my card doesn’t quite qualify. Oh well, at least it inspired me to make a card! I just love the soft effect of the vellum dp on top of the white cardstock. It looks so springy! My image panle is made up of one cuttlebugged square, on plain square, and the cupcake from Pez-a-Doodle Designs’ Chocolate Treats set popped up on dimensionals. I colored the cupcake with Copic markers, and the put Waterfall stickles on the bottom (cupcake liner) and Fruit Punch stickles on the icing. Love all of the shimmer!!!

I did add a “smile” paperclip, but other than that and some dew drops in the bottom right corner I left it alone. I was trying to be clean and simple, lol. Everything I have hyperlinked I purchased over at Pez-a-Doodle Designs. I am telling you – she has such a great selection of goodies over there!

How Relaxing!

iss_sheree_tbuMeet Sheree. How relaxed does she look?? My stamp is from InStyle Stamps, and I just love her. Wouldn’t it be nice to feel llike she does everyday?

I colored the image with Copic markers. The bubbles are covered in Icicle Stickles, which happen to have caught the light and look very green in this pic. I promise it changes colors irl!! I also went ahead and added a sentiment panel, cut with Nesties. I am trying to create a stash of cards that only need a sentiment added, so I have stuff ready that can be used for whatever appropriate occasion arises – I feel so proactive! Dew Drops, a piece of ribbon, and the corner rounder finished this card up for me – I kept it simple for once 🙂

Be sure and check the InStyle Stamps Blog for fun challenges and sneak peeks of newly released stamps!

Sparkly Pezzycake!

pad_pezzycake_tbuOk,  is my love of Stickles obvious? I am thrilled with how well their sparkle is captured in this picture! I colored the cake with Copics, and then used Fruit Punch Stickles to “ice” the icing, lol. The platter and Pezzy are both Stickled out using Crystal Stickles. My sentiment looks messy on purpose – this one is for a frazzled mom, so she’ll get it!

What I love about the Pezzy Stamps is their size. I love a good image I can really color, and bling up. I also love the embellies I used on this card — aren’t they fab? I am pretty sure the hearts are handmade by Marti – yes you read that right! Also, the little squares at the bottom – HOW FUN ARE THEY??? Everyone should have some!!!!!

I’ve got some exciting news today, also – Pez-a-Doodle Designs is welcoming new designers to the team!!! Check out my sidebar and go visit them! Congrats to the new team members! This is a great team to join 🙂

And in more exciting news, good stuff is cookin’ up at Pez-A-Doodle this month, so don’t go far!!!!taylorsig

Thankful Thursday

iss_ttginger032609_tbu

It’s Thankful Thursday over at InStyle Stamps! I love this day – it reminds me both to be thankful and helps me to increase my thank you card stash, which rocks.  This cutie is Miss Ginger, and she is too much fun. I decided to go vintage rather than retro, so I dug out some Daisy D’s French Market paper and went to town. It really is split into three panels, but it blends so well with the Creamy Caramel, it’s hard to tell. Ginger is colored using Copic markers.

I used my Nesties to cut out Ginger’s oval, as well as the scalloped one. I sponged it with Tea Stain ink,  and used the Inkssential tool to apply it. I got them at Pez-a-Doodle Designs and cannot live without them!

Then I filled my card with Primas and added a thank you sentiment, and I was all done!
