A Little Chocolate Snowman

I admit it – I am head over heels in love with this snowman! He just looks so sweet, and inviting, and I totally want to hug him, lol. I’m actually in love with the whole darn set, to tell you the truth. It is SO cute. It’s called Build a Snowman, and it’s available through Queen Kat Designs.

I made this card for the Color Combo challenge on Splitcoast last week. And let me just say, I love this color combo! I paired it with some DCWV Once Upon a Time cardstock, from the mat pack I got at AC Moore. I love the hint of shimmery green it has!

Stamps: QKD Build a Snowman
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip, DCWV dp
Ink: White Craft, Kiwi Kiss
Accessories: square brads, organdy ribbon, slot punch

Tangerine Circles

This card is based on the Lizzie Anne Designs Sketch #50, for last week. I’m a little behind, *snicker*!!! I let the Pretty Papers that LAD just came out with as the lead in my color choices – oooooh these papers are so great!

I used the SU scalloped circle punch for the base of the flower I created. Then I stamped two of the scallops from the Circle Sentiments set (newly released by LAD) in alternate colors and cut them out. To finish it off, I added the small flower that is included with the set. Each layer (other than the base) is popped up on dimensionals. For my bottom edge, I used a Martha Stewart edge punch, paper pierced along the bottom. And on the right of the sentiment, I cut out the tiny heart and stuck it on there.

Stamps: LAD Circle Sentiments
Paper: Tangerine Tango, River Rock, Very Vanilla, Pretty Paper dp (LAD)
Ink: Tangerine Tango, River Rock
Accessories: Cuttlebug (Swiss Dots), Circle Scallop punch, Martha Stewart edge punch, ribbon, paper piercer

Christmas Trees For Sale

I am really pleased with the way this card turned out – I love the look of a light color layered on itself. So I used Confetti White as my base, and again for the first layer. I ran that layer through my Cuttlebug using the Snowflakes folder. I cut my image panel smaller, but still used the same cardstock.

My snowman is stamped on Confetti White also, both directly on the layer and again on another piece, and cutout (the bottom circle is one piece, the top two and scarf and hat are another piece, and then I did the hat again and adhered it). I feel like he is doing the Vanna White thing, gesturing at the trees for sale, lol. I’m nuts, I know.

I sponged the edges heavily with Creamy Caramel ink, added the ribbon, and the cute little sign. I just love it! My stamps are from Lizzie Anne Designs – there is a link below in the deets!

Stamps: LAD Christmas in the City
Paper: Confetti White
Ink:Versafine Black, Creamy Caramel

Jen, I’ll get with you in the next day or so so you can pick out your goodies!! *YAY* Thanks to everyone who played 🙂

Funky Friends, and Blog Candy!!!

So, check it out! How fun is this card? I loooove it! I’m not sure what my favorite thing about it is – maybe the fun dp, maybe the adorable funky tree, or maybe it is the brand-spankin’-new sentiment I got in the mail today. That’s right – my November Take 3 Club stamps arrived today from Queen Kat Designs, and they could not be sweeter! I knew I’d combine the Funky Trees set with this sentiment. I can’t show you all of the images in the November Take 3 Club yet, but I don’t think I’m breaking any rules by showing you a sneak peek, lol.

Now, on to the blog candy (I know you are really only excited about that part!). Here’s the rules: click on over to the Queen Kat Designs store, snoop around for a little bit, and tell me what your favorite set is. She’s got some super cute ones over there! Anyway, leave me a comment telling me what your favorite set is (it’s okay if you cheat and have more than one – my wishlist is a mile long!) by Saturday, October 25th at 9:00 pm EST. I’ll draw a winner using random.org, and that person will get a $25 shopping spree in the Queen Kat Designs store! Fun, huh?? Have fun drooling, try not to buy too much, and I can’t wait to see what y’all love, too!

Crackled Carriage

I was at AC Moore last weekend, after my brother’s wedding, and happened upon a couple of fun new things. The first fun new product is called Ranger Crackle Accents, and I’m sure everyone on the planet knew about before I did, lol. Basically it does the cracked glass for you – put it on, let it dry, and it crackles itself. Way cool!

So I stamped my carriage on Naturals Ivory paper with Brown Stazon ink, and sponged it with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut and Tea Stain. I applied the Crackle Accents, and when it was dry cut it out and put it on my paper with dimensionals.

The dp is DCWV Once Upon A Time – what a lovely collection of paper that is! I highly recommend it 🙂 That was my other fun discovery – a whole mat stack of this collection, and I have so many fun ideas with it!

All of my images are from Queen Kat Designs – links to them are below in my deets 🙂 Have a terrific day!

Stamps: QKD Princess Carriage, Greetings #3
Paper: Garden Green, DCWV Once Upon a Time dp, Naturals Ivory
Ink: Brown Stazon, Tim Holtz Distress – Walnut Stain, Tea Stain

Little Halloween Coffin

This was my third Project of the Month for October over at Lizzie Anne Designs. I just could not resist this adorable little coffin when I spotted it at Michael’s, lol. All of the details for this project can be found over on the Project of the Month Page at Lizzie Anne Design’s website.  You’ll have to scroll down a bit to see it – it is on the right side. This fits into my Scrappy Sundays Challenge because all of the Whisper White paper I used was from the scrap pile – it’s a stretch, I know, and I said I’d be using scrap dp….but sometimes I cheat, lol!!!

Inside the coffin, I put the adorable little witch from the Little People set by LAD. She’s a surprise for DD, who gets this coffin on Halloween morning. It’s already filled with candy and ready to go! She’ll love it – she loves little surprises like this, especially when candy is involved. She’s decided to be Cinderella for Halloween, which is going to be adorable. I can’t wait!
