Meet Jet

iss_casjet_tbuThis is Jet, and he is an Anime stamp from InStyle Stamps. I’ve never used an anime image before, so I was a little nervuos. Because he’s a boy, I figured I’d make a boyish card – no frills, masculine colors. How’d I do?

I love it when a clean and simple card comes together. I watercolored Jet’s clothes to match the cardstock I used, and ran the white strip through the Cuttlebug before adhering it. I went with Riding Hood Red and Pacific Point to go along with my boyish theme.

It was really hard to leave this card alone, lol. But I did, and I’m pleased with the results!

Blessed Day

pad_blessedday_tbuThis card is based off of the sketch challenge issued last week on SCS. I’m quite pleasd with how it turned out! Sketch challenges are always fun for me – there are so many different things you can do with them!

On this card, my main image panel has a stamp (the cross) from a set called Blessings, by {Little Paper Shop}. The sentiment, however, is a Studio G one that I got from Marti over at Pez-a-Doodle Designs. She has an awesome selection of the Studio G’s, plus some wonderful embellishments, all the Tim Holtz stuff you could ever need, and some way cute stamps. So go check it out! My dp is Basic Grey’s Lily Kate – oh how I love every piece of paper that Basic Grey has ever put out!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!taylorsig14

JBelle Tuesday

lad_stylish_tbuHere is my JBelle Tuesday card – we were supposed to makea card in any shape other than a rectangle. I’ll be back later with the details, but I did want to get it posted quickly before work!

LPS Monday!

lps_owlthings_tbuIt’s time fo r another Little Paper Shop challenge! This week we have a sketch, and I love sketch challenges! I used the new Magical Forest set, combined with a sentiment from the Blessings set.I think that little owl is so stinkin’ cute! I used Nesties to cut and emboss the ovals; the ink for my owl and sentiment are Memento Tuxedo Black. This is really a great sketch, becuae it is simple but tere are so many different ways you could jazz it up. I, obviously, chose to stay simple, lol.

lpsc06In place of the three little embellies in the corner, I put my great big sentiment. I really think that it goes well with the tiny owl. In addition to this awesome sketch challenge and another opportunity to win prizes this month, the LPS Birthday celebration just got even BETTER!  It’s not over yet!

That’s right!  As our gift to you, The Little Paper Shop is having a HUGE Birthday Blast SALE, with most sets marked down 10% to 75% OFF!  This is our biggest and best sale ever, and runs through April 30th or while supplies last.  We want April to go out with some b-day fireworks as we have really appreciated you joining us in our month-long birthday celebration!  Thank you for all of your comments, congratulations, and participation in our challenges and contests!  We’ve loved having you and will be back in May to start off our 2nd year of business with sets that will WOW you…can’t wait!
Happy shopping and enjoy this week’s challenge!

A Few Quick Cards

lad_welcomehome_tbuI thought I’d share a few cards I’ve made and haven’t had time to post!

lad_rubyflowers_tbuI’ve been having fun playing with my Lizzie Anne stamps, obviously!

lad_happy-robot_tbuAnd I *love* the Gizmos and Gears set!

lad_hellorobot_tbuI hope you all had a terrific weekend!

Let it Shine!

lad_lightshine_tbuThis week’s Etsy Inspired store had so much great stuff to offer – the yarn was so fabulous! I love yarn! I used to knt, but hurt my hand and have a hard time now. But oh how I miss wonderful yarn! Obviously, I picked some yarn as my inspiration, lol. Here is the pic. Isn’t it gorgeous?

I took the colors and this week’s Lizzie Anne Designs sketch and made this card. The bauble is from a necklace that DH bought me and DD broke – I figured this was a good way to recycle.

This stamp is from the new release Lizzie Anne just did – it’s ccalled In the Parlor. Isn’t it cute? You can go here to see all of the new releases – but let me warn you — you will want them all!

Little Blue Cuppa

iss_bluecuppa_tbuHOW CUTE is this notecard? I am so in love with it! It was super easy because I used digi paper from InStyle Stamps, as well as one of their digital images. Can’t get any easier than that, lol! I colored my image with Copic markers. The paper was printed on GP white cardstock (from Wal Mart) and it turned out great!

Have you checked out the selection of digi stamps at InStyle Stamps? It is crazy! They totally have something for everyone!

I’m sure I’ll be back lalter for more posting today, but I wanted to get everyone started with a nice cuppa, for a realxing morning! Happy Saturday!taylorsig11
