God Bless the USA

LAD_GodBlessThe USA_tbuOhmygosh! Have you SEEN the new Stars and Stripes digital paper and stamp singles of the month from Lizzie Anne Designs???? I’m in love!! For this sweet little card, I just printed out a piece of the patterned dp, and a piece of the solid red, which is designed to make matching totally easy (and it does!). I stamped my image on GP White cardstock, and layered it a red mat. Then I popped it up on monstrous pop dots, added a star for some bling, and a mini clothespin for cuteness.

I must say, Lizzie Anne is really getting me into digital paper. I was skittish at first, but I love the way it turns out! You should definitely go check all of their’s out – they are so much fun!

Fun with Lizzie Anne Designs

Big Little Superheroes

LAD_BoySuperDad_tbuNow that we’ve gotten Mother’s Day out of the way, I can start on Father’s Day stuff! Here is one card I’ve made – the sweet little superhero with the wonderful LAD sentiment about fathers. I used Pacific Point as my card base and some fun dp my parents gave me for Christmas, paired with Riding Hood Red and Confetti White cardstock to complete this card.

I stamped my little man with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and used an aquapainter to color him, I punched the sentiment out with a key tag punch and edged it with Pacific Point. All together, pretty simple – but guys are simple, lol!! I did handstitch some thread at the top to finish the card off. What do you think?

A Few Quick Cards

lad_welcomehome_tbuI thought I’d share a few cards I’ve made and haven’t had time to post!

lad_rubyflowers_tbuI’ve been having fun playing with my Lizzie Anne stamps, obviously!

lad_happy-robot_tbuAnd I *love* the Gizmos and Gears set!

lad_hellorobot_tbuI hope you all had a terrific weekend!

Sweet Chicks

etsy_040409_tbuIt’s time for another Etsy Inspired card! I love these challenges because there are so many wonderful Etsy stores out there, and I’d never find all of these on my own,  just browsing. This week’s store is LaurenAlexander and it is full of adorable things! She uses so much color, and it is all so perfect together – wow! What a talent! Ok, on to the details, lol. Enough rambling!

il_430xn62479790My card (pictured above at right) is based n this little picture she did, called Better Together. I watercolored the background and hand drew the lines. My little birdies are from the Lizzie Anne Designs set So Much Love. They are stamped on the background, and then cut out and popped up on dimensionals.

I hope everyone has a terrific Saturday! If you have time, check out what the rest of the DT did too!

Girlie Bot

lad_girliebot_tbuWelcome to the girlie side of Gizmos and Gears! Chocolate and different shades of pink, and some blinged out chipboard shapes — it just makes me giggle! But then again, so does the super confused look I think this robot has – I know the feeling!

I had tons of fun making this card. I started with a light pink base, then threw on some chocolate Core’dinations –how fab is that paper?? Next I did a layer of hot pink, with a layer printed vellum dp under it. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch for it. I stamped a background stamp from the set on the cardstock. I grabbed my newest Nesties – Labels 4 – and cut out two large ones and a small one. For the latgest one, I used a file on the edges to make the Core’dinations show it’s core color – pink, lol! I used the smallest cutout for the sentiment.

The robot is stamped on Fabriano watercolor paper, and colored with SU  and Copic markers. Completing the card are some pink and brown ribbon, and some awesome blingy Maya Road chipboard shapes. I painted the flower stem with Pixie Dust Shimmerz Blingz, and the gear with Pink Poinsetta Shimmerz Blingz. You can get most of these products at Lizzie Anne Designs! It’s one stop shopping, and a flat rate of $5 for shipping. You can’t go wrong with that! The chipboard shapes are so fun, and they are ON SALE!!

Little Lambs….

lad_2littlelambsThis card is for my cousin, who is going to have beautiful twin babies – a boy and a girl – in the near future. I thought I’d send her a cheer up card, because it isn’t fun to be in the end stages of pregnancy (swollen everything, totally tired – who’s with me?) and because the whole family is having a rough time right now, which I’m sure adds stress for her. If you happen to read this, cousin who shall remain unnamed, I love you, and we all know how worth this will have been soon!!

I used the newly released In the Nursery set from Lizzie Anne Designs. On the lamb’s heads, I put liquid applique, for some poof! And I tilted them both on purpose, just for fun 🙂 Have a wonderful Thursday, everyone!

Oh, and of course I forgot to announce the blog candy winner! Random.toddler picked #3, which said this
