Color Combo Monday

color-challenge-2This is the fun color combo issued for this week’s challenge over at the LPS blog! How cute is it?

I immediately knew what I wanted to do with this color combo – and I knew I had the perfect dp for it! Thata was totally exciting. I left my layout simple, so both the stamps and dp could shine on their own. lps_asiancc_tbu

So, here it is. What do you think? I used the Inspired by Asia set by {Little Paper Shop}. You have to get it – it’s on sale for $10.08!!!!!! How could you not get it at that price?????

My dp is by Prima, and is it not drop dead goergeous? I hated to cover it up with such a large panel, lol.

I do love the image panel though – I adore corner stamps. They have the potential to add so much to a card!  To finish it up, I put large photo corners in opposite corners, and did some quick faux stitching.

Ok, I’m off to clean my stmp room. Somehow, even though I have a good sized table, I  only have about ten inches of workspace. I swear I don’t know how it happenend!taylorsig25

iss_poodle-skirt_tbuHOW FUN is this image??? Seriously! I knew immediately that I wanted to paper piece it, and lucked out totally when I came across this paper in my stash!

I cuttlebugged layers one and two with different folders (stamped my sentiment beforehand). I cut a small opening in the cardstock to slide to skirt through, and only adhered the sides of it. I put my finger in the middle, to give it some texture and depth – all skirts blow in the breeze, right? I added photo corners to one corner, and a simple piece of white cord at the bottom.

Oh! The poodle on my poodle skirt, lol. He’s covered in liquid applique, and his face and leash are colored with a Copic marker. Same thing for the belt on the skirt.

This adorable image cam from InStyle Stamps – I’m telling y’all – there is some fun stuff happening over there! Have you checked out the forums?

Now – my candy jar! Currently it holds bunny shaped, pastel colored marshmallows, but I’m hoping next it will hold peanut m&m’s!I colored the images with Copics, and added to the inside of the jar (I have a 3 year old). It’ s pretty darn simple, but I wanted her to be involved with the projet, so she felt like it was hers, too. She picked out the colors for the eggs 🙂 Sweet little one – why do they grow so fast?

Pure and Simple

etsy29_tbuThis the “cleanest” card I have ever made, lol. And the piece that inspired me from this week’s Etsy shop looks nothing like it.  But sometimes, my cards take me in a different direction, kwim? I did color the berries on the tree with a gold gel pen, and added gold grass at the bottom.I did the same thing inside the card.

Who knew I had such simplicity in me? I certainly didn’t, lol!

My ink is Cameo Coral, and I used the new Very Versatile set from SU.  I knew I had to have it!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday – check back later for the In Style Stamps blog hop!!!!

I Want to Be a Butterfly

pad_032709_tbuThis is one three year old that has the right idea! What a fun and fresh perspective on things! This is my Friday Pez-a-Doodle sample, and it makes me smile. I apologize for the odd coloring – between trying to figure out Photoshop and trying to figure out my new camera, I am all confused, lol!

I got my Inka stamps from Pez-a-Doodle – but hurry, she’s having a huge clearance!!! Click the link – quick!

Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday over at InStyle Stamps! I love this day – it reminds me both to be thankful and helps me to increase my thank you card stash, which rocks.  This cutie is Miss Ginger, and she is too much fun. I decided to go vintage rather than retro, so I dug out some Daisy D’s French Market paper and went to town. It really is split into three panels, but it blends so well with the Creamy Caramel, it’s hard to tell. Ginger is colored using Copic markers.

I used my Nesties to cut out Ginger’s oval, as well as the scalloped one. I sponged it with Tea Stain ink,  and used the Inkssential tool to apply it. I got them at Pez-a-Doodle Designs and cannot live without them!

Then I filled my card with Primas and added a thank you sentiment, and I was all done!
