Believe in Miracles

tgf_believefairy_tbuThe Greeting Farm akes the cutest stamps, I swear! I love all three of their fairies – I adore fairies period, lol! Thhis card was definitely based on a sketch challenge, but I cannot remember where I found it – it’s been awhile and I’ve been procrastinating about posting this!

My little fairy is clored with Copics, and her wings are coverd with Pixie Dust  Shimmerz Blingz. Her eyeshadow is Fruit Punch Stickles. I used Nesties to do the ovals at the bottom, and the sentiment came from TGF’s Shepherd Boy set. I added some dew drops in the top left corner, and fell in love with this card!

I did paper pierce under the sentiment just to add a little something to it – I think the whole thing tured out great! I just wih I could remember who’s sketch challenge this was! Maybe it was a Mojo Monday one. Hmmm…….

Have a terrific Sunday everyone!

Sparkly Pezzycake!

pad_pezzycake_tbuOk,  is my love of Stickles obvious? I am thrilled with how well their sparkle is captured in this picture! I colored the cake with Copics, and then used Fruit Punch Stickles to “ice” the icing, lol. The platter and Pezzy are both Stickled out using Crystal Stickles. My sentiment looks messy on purpose – this one is for a frazzled mom, so she’ll get it!

What I love about the Pezzy Stamps is their size. I love a good image I can really color, and bling up. I also love the embellies I used on this card — aren’t they fab? I am pretty sure the hearts are handmade by Marti – yes you read that right! Also, the little squares at the bottom – HOW FUN ARE THEY??? Everyone should have some!!!!!

I’ve got some exciting news today, also – Pez-a-Doodle Designs is welcoming new designers to the team!!! Check out my sidebar and go visit them! Congrats to the new team members! This is a great team to join 🙂

And in more exciting news, good stuff is cookin’ up at Pez-A-Doodle this month, so don’t go far!!!!taylorsig

Glistening in the Rain

lps_glisteningintherain_tbu This week’s inspiration over at the LPS blog is a color combo — Bashful Blue, Old Olive, and Tangerine Tango. I think it is just a stunning combo! For more deets about how to play along with us go      to  the LPS blog! The keyword is LPSC05.

I put alot of TLC into this card, although it isn’t obvious, lol. After cutting the die out, I handstitched the dp to the Old Olive paper with a combo of Tangerine and Blue thread. My darling little image got lots of love, too – I colored her blue (all coloring done with Copics) and used Waterfall Stickles on her coat and umbrella. I used Orange Marmalade Distress Stickles on her boots. I added Crystal Effecta for the pool of water and I had forgotten, in comparison, how much I like the Ranger Glossy better. I used Icicle Stickles to make raindrops, and finally, Peeled Paint Distress Stickles around the edges of the scalloped Circle.

I chose my sentiment because on my drive to work, I often see kids standing in the rain waiting for the bus. It breaks my heart that there is no one to wait with them. So, for each one I pass, I quietly hope for the bus to get there just a little sooner. Weird, I know, but that’s why I picked it 🙂

A Unity Get Well

usc_usc25getwell_tbuThis week’s Unity Addicts Challenge was to make a Get Well card. I used the SO and So Loves stamp, and in the spot where you can write on it I wrote Get Well Soon XOXOXOXO. I colored my image with Copics and used Stickles to color the hearts. Do you think a recipient will like it? Thee challenges are so fun to participate in! If you make one and upload it to SCS, the keyword is USC25!!

Pezzy is Sick!

pad_pezzyissick__tbuAwwww, poor thing! No one like to see a sick baby! I just love this image from Pez-a-Doodle Designs. It is so fun! It’a called Stamp Snifflin’ with Pezzy –  and it really could not be any sweeter!

I used all sorts of goodies that are available at Pez-a-Doodle Designs on this card. My image is stamped using Adirondack Ink in Pesto. I’ve never used Adirondack inks before, and was very impressed with them! I colored my image with Copics, and Pezzy’s tooth is colored with a white gel pen. For the Rx lettering, I used Tim Holtz Distress Stickles  in Peeled Paint to “color” it.  Then I used Fruit Punch Stickles to add corner dots and a row across the dp – just for some fun bling! I also used a glitter gel pen to add some oomph to the dp – on the butterfly and the swirls. It’s hard to see in the pic, I know!

Marti has tons of things in the store on sale, and CHA goodies are coming in by the truckload! Flower Soft is now available, Grungeboard is in stock, and you have to check out all of the Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powders! Happy Shopping!!!!!

Kissing the Frog

jbe_jbe039_tbuOk, I’ll admit it. I have a thing for frogs. Frogs and pigs – I just think they are adorable. So when I spied this Imaginisce image, it had to be mine! Ain’t he cute? And I have been cranking the square cards out lately – what is up with that? Well, this week it is because the Jacksonbelle challenge is a square sketch. So, I’ll place the blame over there, lol! Seriously, though – I really am digging on them! I just need to find a place for envies. Where do y’all get your square envies from (other than SU)? Anyway, moving on, lol….

jbe039The awesome dp I used came from Jacksonbelle’s store too. It is by Fancy Pants, from their About a Boy line. How great are the colors? I think we all know about my obsession with Fancy Pants, lol. I colored my little cutie using some new Prismacolor markers I picked up on clearance at Office Depot this weekend. They were going out of business, so I figured for 40% off, why not try a set of 24?he’s popped up on dimensionals, and the frog underneath him is colored a darker green using Copics. In the corners of my main panel I used Distress Stickles in Orange Marmalade to make little dots. And the brads in the top corner came from who on earth knows where – I didn’t even know I had them!

I’m pretty sure I totally cheated with this skech by using my ribbon to divide up my sections, rather than having 4 separate panels. But oh well – I’ll just be a cheater! At least my ribbon matches my card base, so it isn’t too obvious! Be sure and stop by Jacksonbelle’s store – check this out:

Lindsey is making room for all the new CHA goodies by having a sale in the store this weekend- today (Friday) until Tuesday at midnight EST.  Everything in the store is 30 % off!!!!! Be sure to use coupon code Feb30 at checkout to have your discount applied!

Happy Shopping!

Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone!

It’s Tea Time!

lps_jantent_tbuOk, I’m a bit behind! I should have shown you this adorable set yesterday, when it was time for its sneak peek. But this week has gotten the better of me, lol, and I just didn’t have time to make a card! So, let me introduce you to Tea Time, the newest release from {Little Paper Shop}!!!!! Isn’t it darling???? Now, my dear friend Jessica is going to be after me for not giving this set the “Alice treatment”, lol — it does totally remind me of Alice in Wonderland. But the colors didn’t match the paper, you see — so plans had to change!

It just so happens that today, which is release day for the stamp sets, is also the day of the {Little Paper Shop} DT’s monthly challenge! And guess who got to do the first challenge of the New Year? The newbie member – me! I asked everyone to make a tent card using one of the new release images that we’ve shown you this week. To see everyone’s use the links on the right of my blog to hop on over to their blogs to check them out! To see the cards the DT created using the Tea Time set in particular, go to the {Little Paper Shop} blog to see them!

Now, y’all are probably sick to death of me and my new love affair with Shimmerz, but I don’t care!!!! I painted her dress with Pink Poinsetta Shimmerz Blingz, her hair with the brand new Shimmerz Blingz Pixie Dust, the teapot and cups with the brand new Shimmerz Blingz Hottie Pink, and the grass with Olive Shimmerz paint. I watercolored it all first, though. Because my Prima Peaches paper (which, btw, is on sale — a 6×6 pad for $2.79 at Jacksonbelle Embellishments!)was kind of busy, I tried to go easy  on the embellies – just a few flowers. In the center of the smallest green ones, I dotted some Crystal Stickles.
