I am so embarrassed!

kreativ_blogger_award_copyOh my goodness, I got this award forever ago, and totally forgot about posting it. So long ago, actually, that I don’t remember who gave it to me, or what the rules are. So whoever you are, know that I am truly touched by the award – even though I forgot to post it. I guess when you hit 30 it really is downhill from there!

I’m just going to tag 5 people. You have to post the award on your blog as well as pass it on to 5 more people. Easy enough, right? Be sure and comment on their blogs, so they know they have won an award!!

  1. Jessica Diedrich – The Whimsical Butterfly
  2. Sara Henton – Expressions of a Creative Mind
  3. Bonnie Sharp – The Lucky Clucker
  4. Victoria Smithson – EatStampSleepRepeat
  5. Tanis Geisbrecht – Paper Princess at Play

Rainy Day Fund

iss_rainydayfund_tbuI gave up ordering and buying craft supplies for Lent. So to cheer myself up, I made this adorable Rainy Day Fund container to hold all of the $$$ I can pull together between now and Easter!!! Let me tell ou, there will be a shopping spree involved, lol.

I used Prima Harmony do, flowers, and ribbon – I love it when they package it all nice for me! My image is the fabulous Miss Suzie Q from InStyle Stamps. I figured she was perfect for my rainy day fund!

I love Target for many reasons, and this container is one of them. It’s Archer Farms cereal, and it is quite tasty!  But the coolest thing, for me, is that it comes in this handy container, that I just knew I could turn into something Fab! What do you think?

Surf’s Up!

iss_surfergirl_tbuCheck this awesomenes out! Over at InStyle stamps, you can get COLORED digi images! How easy peasy is that? Go chck them out! They have one set, foro $7.50, and it comes with all sorts of fun images!!!

It’s rainy day here, so this image was totally speaking my language – what a pick me up, colorwise! All I had to do was pick coordinating papers and ribbon. I threw on some pebble stickers js for fun, and this card was done!

I do so enjoy working with InStyle stamos – they are so fun!! 🙂

A Few Lizzie Anne Pics of Tutti Fruity

lad_cherrybookmark_tbuFirst up is a little “Cherry-o” Bookmark. I made a whole bunch of thee (ok, 5) because our bookmark stash was getting terribly low. The cherries are painted with Royal Red stickles, coffee for the stems, and olive for the leaf. The whole thing took maybe 10 minutes. If you are looking for a sweet, fun, and easy gift, I’d vote for bookmarks in a minute! We are constantly misplacing them, or they get crazy worn. or the bookmark monster (cousin to the sock monster that lives in dryers) eats them.

lad_chocolatepie_tbuNext up is some yummy chocolate pie.  I reliaze the intent for this set was fruits so int theory this should be an orange, lemon or lime. But I was in the mood for chocolate when I made it, so that’s what I made! No one ever turns down chocolate pie!

lad_goodapple_tbu To make up for my lust for pie, I next made a green apple card. Can’t get any healthier, right? I really think this card is quite cheerful – I love the bright colors on it! And the dew drops – I think I might be slighlt obsessed with them, lol. I wonder if there is a group for that. Hmmmmm……

Well, that is all blabbermouth me has to say today. You are shocked, I know – just one post, not too many words. But I did cram 3 pics into my post, so that should count for something!

If you can, leave me a comment and tell me which one is your favorite! I’m always interested in other peopes opinions. The pie is my favorite, lol. I’m sure there is *no* surprise in that!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Friday!!!

Love Shrooms!

iss_loveshrooms_tbuThis is a digistamp from InStyle Stamps. Adorable, yes?

What I think is so cool about digistamps is that you can pick any size you want them to be, and go from thre. I chose large for this one, because I wanted it to feel like a notecard. I colored the whole thing with Copics, added primas along the grass line, and some ribbon near the bottom. Extremely simple, yet I just love it! You will be seeing more of these in the future from me!

To see all of the digis the InStyle offers, go to their digis page!

My Jacksonbelle for Today!

jbe_memorytree_tbuYou can find more details about this card by going to the Jacksonbelle Blog 🙂 Today, it is all about the Memory Box!

Just a Swingin’….

lps_sweetswinging_tbuI finally had time to participate in this week’s Sketch Challenge over at LPS! And I don’t think she could be any cuter! I am totally loving these new digi images that LPS has come out with – fabulous! My card base is Blush Blossom, my next layer is Wild Wasabi. My gorgeous dp is form Basic Grey’s Offbeat colection. The girl on the swing it printed on Naturals Cream cardstock and colored with Copics.

For more deets about the sketch challenge, go to the LPS Blog!

Ok, it’s Official…

pad_pezzylovey_tbuI do not like to not color. I did a terrible job embossing this, because my hands have started to shake, *sigh*. I think Tim Holz is wonderful, but it never turns out for me the way it does for him. So Marti – please no more challenges like this for awhile! I can’t handle it!

I used Fired Brick ep and ink. I also used faded blue jeans ink, tea stain &, walnut stain for sweet little Pezzy, On the Red Riding Hood piece,I used Tim’s mist, brayer, roll  technique.

It is really hard to go otside of your comfort zone. I totally strggled with this card 😦

A Unity Get Well

usc_usc25getwell_tbuThis week’s Unity Addicts Challenge was to make a Get Well card. I used the SO and So Loves stamp, and in the spot where you can write on it I wrote Get Well Soon XOXOXOXO. I colored my image with Copics and used Stickles to color the hearts. Do you think a recipient will like it? Thee challenges are so fun to participate in! If you make one and upload it to SCS, the keyword is USC25!!

A Gift for My Munchkin

iss_hairbox_tbuSo, my daughter is forever having hairbands all over the house. I gave her one of those cheapie plastic boxes kids use for pencils, but wasn’t “cool” enough to warrant use. My solution is this cute little box, which used to hold HodgePodge Hardware. She loves it when I get my hair done and sit under one of the hair dryers, so I knew this image would be perfect.

iss_hairboxclose_tbuShe carries it everywhere and loves it! *Yay*! It’s the small victories that matter, lol. My image is from InStyle Stamps and I colored it with Copics. My paper and letter stickers are Basic Grey. And I think the Primas top this box off so well!! This was a really simple project – I think it took me about 30 minutes start to finish. Not bad 🙂

A Jacksonbelle Free for All! (post #3 for today)

jbe_planefun_tbuFor this Tuesday’s Product Spotlight, we got to pick from a list of several things — isn’t Lindsey the sweetest? I chose to go with the About a Boy paper by Fancy Pants, because I *love* it so much! I used the new Lizzie Anne Designs set Things That Go, to stick with boy-ish motif — no flowers on this one!

I put my panel with the plane and sentiment under the transaprency, and then added another plane on top of it. I sanded a Tim Holtz Idea-ology and added a blingy star to it, to put next to the sentiment. In each cornerthere are Silver Bells Dew Drops (to hide the bits of adhesive I used to adhere the transparency). And then I pretty much left well enough alone. The paper and transparency are so busy and pretty that I didn’t want to overwhelm them, lol!

jbcase-cassielarson_by_casslarsonNow, onto the blog candy winner! I put the numbers in a hat and let my husband draw one out – and it was this beauty by Cassie Larson! Didn’t she do an amazing job CASE-ing Jennifer Buck’s card? I love all of her bling on this one! Congrats on the prize pack, Cassie – it will go in the mail to you within the next couple of days! Thanks so much for playing!!! I hope you had as much fun playing as I did picking out the goodies for the prize pack lol!

What? I can’t color anything??? (post #2 for today)

pad_softflowerwindow_tbuThat is exactly what I thought when Marti issued this challenge! How on earth was I going to make a card without my Copics, or Prismacolors???? Well, what I came up with is one of my all-time favorite cards! It is nice to be forced outside of my comfort zone every now and then!

Everything on my card, except the Cuttlebug folder, came from Pez-a-Doodle Designs. They have SUCH fabulous shopping!

I started by sponging Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Aged Mahogany onto the piece I Cuttlebugged. Then I added a little Tea Stain on top of that. My flower box is also done the same way. I used the Inkssentials blending tool for my sponging – I love that thing! I stamped the window on a different piece of cardstock in Walnut Stain, and sponged Tea Stain to “color” it. I cut the window and the flower box out and lined them up so I could use a variety of Adirondack Inks (Pesto, Meadow, and Watermelon) to stamp the flowers. The window panes are covered with Ranger Gossy Accents, which had the effect of slightly softening the lines of the stamps – I love the way the flowers turned out!

Once the glossy accents dried, I adhered the whole thing together. And seriously, I love how soft and pretty it is! Oh – I forgot to tell you what awesome stamp line these stamps came from!! They are brand new Flower Soft stamps! Marti has an amazing selection of Flower Soft products at awesome prices!

It’s Twinkling Tuesday! (post #1 for today)

usc_mttsc11_tbuThis week, instead of doing a sketch challenge, Miss Madelynn had a little inspiration piece for us. I took from it my color scheme, and that’s about it, lol. But since I never use Rose Red, this was a big leap for me! I used the February Unity Kit of the Month, Endings and Beginnings, on this card. I love their Kits of the Month!! I also lucked out and had a tiny butterfly charm that matched, so that was awesome 🙂 I tied it with my knot in my ribbon, and adhered a dimensional to the back of it, so it would staymttsc11 where I wanted it! I am a fan of this caard, because it turned out rather simple, and I love simple. Didn’t take long to make at all!

Isn’t the inspiration mug the most darling thing? I loved it as soon as I saw it! And I can totally see why Miss Madelynn loves it too! It actually belongs to her mom and to me, it just screams Jessica! Be sure to visit the Twinkling Tuesdays blog to see the featured stamper this week, and visit all the other Twinklettes’ blogs by clicking on the links on the right side of my blog! It is so much fun to do these fun things with friends each week – I’m so happy to be part  of this talented team of ladies! It has been fun getting to know people I didn’t know before this started!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a really terrific Tuesday!

Pezzy is Sick!

pad_pezzyissick__tbuAwwww, poor thing! No one like to see a sick baby! I just love this image from Pez-a-Doodle Designs. It is so fun! It’a called Stamp Snifflin’ with Pezzy –  and it really could not be any sweeter!

I used all sorts of goodies that are available at Pez-a-Doodle Designs on this card. My image is stamped using Adirondack Ink in Pesto. I’ve never used Adirondack inks before, and was very impressed with them! I colored my image with Copics, and Pezzy’s tooth is colored with a white gel pen. For the Rx lettering, I used Tim Holtz Distress Stickles  in Peeled Paint to “color” it.  Then I used Fruit Punch Stickles to add corner dots and a row across the dp – just for some fun bling! I also used a glitter gel pen to add some oomph to the dp – on the butterfly and the swirls. It’s hard to see in the pic, I know!

Marti has tons of things in the store on sale, and CHA goodies are coming in by the truckload! Flower Soft is now available, Grungeboard is in stock, and you have to check out all of the Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powders! Happy Shopping!!!!!

It’s {Little Paper Shop} Monday Again!

lps_birthdayhedgie_tbuThis is the card I made for my little brother’s 25th birthday last wek. He’s getting so old – which means I’m getting older! *Yikes*!!!! I used the Happy Hedgehog new release from {Little Paper Shop} for his card – doesn’t he look like he is having the best time? I colored hime with a combination of Copic and Prismacolor markers. My dp is from the “About a Boy” line by Fancy Pants. I hope he liked his card!

Over at {Little Paper Shop}, there is a sale going on! 10% off until the 25th – so go stock up! Also, be sure to check out the blog to see the newest sketch challenge, and try to play along! Have a wonderful Monday, everyone!

I apologize for the super short post, but it’s a busy day, lol. And I have to get to work on tomorrow’s post, too!
