Some Shopping News, and a RAK :)

)I got this sweet card in the mail, all the way from Texas. According to my dear friend who sent it to me, everything is better in Texas, lol. I wouldn’t know because I have never been there. But i do know that this card is absolutely darling! I love the colors she chose, and the layout. I think I’m going to have to borrow it 🙂

In other exciting shopping news, Lizze Anne Designs has two exciting announcements today. First, they now carry Nestabilities! Second, all shipping in the US is now a flat rate of $5.00!!!! How much does that rock?? So quick, go stock up — you know you need some stuff! (I’m off to order some Nestabilities, myself – don’t tell DH!)

Beautiful RAK!!

My friend Laura (laurakj) sent me this GORGEOUS card – it came in Monday’s mail. And how jaw-dropping is it??? She has been doing some really cool scrapbook pages and featuring them on her blog, Inky Dinky Doo, plus she is showing off a fab new haircut. Check her out! And she has a horrifying story of an unwanted reptile in her house – yikes. Every time I think about it, I freak out, seriously.

I love this card she sent me because it is simple and clean and elegant. I wish I could do one layer this well 🙂 This stamp set, Oh So Lovely, looks amazing used like this! Thanks so much for making my day, Laura!

A Lahbstahgram!!

A Lahbstahgram! How darling is this???????? I mean it – this card could not be any cuter, I swear! An otter-ish friend of mine sent it to me, and out of courtesy to her I will simply refer to her as Muddy Otter. If you are an SCS junkie (like I am!) you know who she is!

I recently ran across a adorable journal with a lobster on the front of it. And knowing of my otter friend’s affinity for lobsters, i simply had to send it to her. And this amazing creation was my thank you note!!! He originally had two eyes, I promise – but DD was so fascinated by the card one becam a casualty of the tug-of-war we had over the card.

This one is defintely going on the wall in my stamp room. And will never come down!

Mail from across the pond!

Bonjour...the sequelI was thrilled to find this beauty in my mailbox this week – it came all the way from England! My dear friend Helen made it. A while ago, she featured it on her blog, All Things Stampy. You can see that post by clicking here – she gives all of the details about the card. She did a series of cards similar to this – this one happens to be called Bonjour…the Sequel.

If you’ve not had a chance to visit her blog before, I highly recommend it! She makes the most fabulous things. And Helen is THE queen of distressing! I always love her color combos, and her layouts. She is great inspiration, I tell you!

Tomorrow I will share the card that Bonjour…the Sequel inspired me to make. It really looks nothing like this one at all – completely different colors and layout.  But I did get my ideas here – so thanks Helen! And thanks for the card – it is beautiful!!!!!
