Bee Picnic

pad_beeroseI made this card for the color cobo sketch over at SCS this week. I was in the mood to do a clean and simple one, so I left the Bee Picnic image (from Pez-a-Doodle Designs) uncolored. I did add photo corners and used a Rose Red marker to do dots around the edges, to mirror the paper.

I think this image is absolutely adorable! He looks like he is up to something, doesn’t he, lol!

Princess Cleo

pad_pinkcleo_tbuHere she is! A princess with some bling! I love the Princess Cleo image that Pez-a-Doodle designs just unveiled! I left the card extremely simple, so it could really show of my main image – which is a really good sized image – for everyone that loves to color!

Now, I have a hint for you for the very next new release. Are you ready?

What are little boys made of?
“Snips and snails, and puppy dogs tails
That’s what little boys are made of !”
What are little girls made of?
“Sugar and spice and all things nice
That’s what little girls are made of!”

Good luck guessing! Be sureto stop by Gretchen’s blog next for another hint about the new stamp that is coming out!

Spring Cupcake

pad_springcupcake_tbuOk, once again I started out doing a clean and simple challenge from SCS, and it went a bit awry. I didn’t want to distress the edges, so my card doesn’t quite qualify. Oh well, at least it inspired me to make a card! I just love the soft effect of the vellum dp on top of the white cardstock. It looks so springy! My image panle is made up of one cuttlebugged square, on plain square, and the cupcake from Pez-a-Doodle Designs’ Chocolate Treats set popped up on dimensionals. I colored the cupcake with Copic markers, and the put Waterfall stickles on the bottom (cupcake liner) and Fruit Punch stickles on the icing. Love all of the shimmer!!!

I did add a “smile” paperclip, but other than that and some dew drops in the bottom right corner I left it alone. I was trying to be clean and simple, lol. Everything I have hyperlinked I purchased over at Pez-a-Doodle Designs. I am telling you – she has such a great selection of goodies over there!

Cocoa Dragonflies

pad_cocoadragonflies_tbuHello everyone! Here is my Wednesday card – it is a simple sketch and a simple card. I left space on the center image panel to add a sentiment later when I figure out who it is going to, lol.

I love the whole line of Skitterbug stamps from Pez-a-Doodle Designs! They are so much fun to play with. Here I used the dragonflies stamp set.  Isn’t it adorable???? I stamped my dragonflies using Tim Holtz Distress ink in Frayed Burlap. I used Antique Linen Distress Stickles to add some sparkle to the dragonflies on the center oval – to the trail and the wings. What do you think of it?I love that I can get distress Stickles in colors that coordinate with my ink – too cool!

Everything I’ve hyperlinked I got at Pez-a-Doodle Designs!!!!

Be sure and check out the other DT member’s creations – their blog links are on the right if you scroll down a bit! Have a great day!

Springtime Flowers!

pad_1stflowersoft_tbu2 This is my first card using Flower Soft – *yay*! If you don’t have any, you better run right over to Pez-A-Doodle Designs and get some! Marti has an awesome selection of colors, kits, stamps, glue – everything you need for a card! I used the Lavender and Lace kit.

This card started out as a CAS card, but it grew away from that and I just let it go. It is still pretty clean and simple, but the layers disqualify it, I think. I used the tone-on-tone method and sponged (with the life changing Inkssentials blending tool) the Melllow Moss layer as well as the main image panel. Also on the focal panel I used a Martha Stewart edge punch for the top and the bottom. I placed my bundle of stems where I wanted it, and glued it down with Mono Multi.

I adhered my layers together, and tied a wide piece of satin ribbon at the bottom. I really love it! I am now completely addicted to Flower Soft!

Sparkly Pezzycake!

pad_pezzycake_tbuOk,  is my love of Stickles obvious? I am thrilled with how well their sparkle is captured in this picture! I colored the cake with Copics, and then used Fruit Punch Stickles to “ice” the icing, lol. The platter and Pezzy are both Stickled out using Crystal Stickles. My sentiment looks messy on purpose – this one is for a frazzled mom, so she’ll get it!

What I love about the Pezzy Stamps is their size. I love a good image I can really color, and bling up. I also love the embellies I used on this card — aren’t they fab? I am pretty sure the hearts are handmade by Marti – yes you read that right! Also, the little squares at the bottom – HOW FUN ARE THEY??? Everyone should have some!!!!!

I’ve got some exciting news today, also – Pez-a-Doodle Designs is welcoming new designers to the team!!! Check out my sidebar and go visit them! Congrats to the new team members! This is a great team to join 🙂

And in more exciting news, good stuff is cookin’ up at Pez-A-Doodle this month, so don’t go far!!!!taylorsig
