The Gift of Coffee

lps_coffeegift_tbuThis is a super simple project using one of the new releases from {Little Paper Shop} called Make Your Own Mug. I bought a bag of Starbucks coffee (mmmmm…..) and wrapped it in cardstock and dp. Then I used my long rectangle nestabilities to make a front panel for it. I stamped the sentiment, tied on a ribbon, and placed my cutout coffee bag at the bottom. All in all, I’d say this took maybe 15 minutes? And I think it is a great hostess gift at a dinner aprty, or a fab little “just because” gift. Who doesn’t love Starbucks coffee? Actually, I’m having a hard time giving this away! It smells so good, I want to keep it! I tried to give it to my husband as a gift, hoping he’d brew a pot, but he said it was too nice for him to open! What??

For some reason the pic looks crooked, but I promise it isn’t!!! I hate it when that happens  – it drives me nuts! 🙂 Hope everyone has a great Monday, and that you are off work like I am!!! Yippee!!!

Stamps: LPS Make Your Own Mug

Make Your Own Mug!

lps_pinkmacchiato_tbuIt’s my first new release with {Little Paper Shop} and I am so excited! The set I’m previewing today is called “Make Your Own Mug”, and it was designed and illustrated by the DT’s own Elyssa Tannenbaum! Isn’t that so fun for her!? It’s a darling set, with oodles of different possibilities – truly!

My card is pretty simple. I really really really love the sentiment, so I wanted that to be the focus. I paper pieced the mug, added some coffee beans, and used my white gel pen to add dots around the edges of the pink panels. My dp is from Basic Grey. And I added a cute little silver charm to the ribbon I put on there — I like how I was able to tie the brown, pink, and gray tones all together.

Be sure to head over to the {Little Paper Shop} blog to see what the other DT members created, and check out their blogs too – links are on the right! Have a great Monday! Sorry for the short post – lots to do, lots to do!

Before I forget, they are giving this set away over on the LPS blog – click below! –

Coasters were everywhere…and I found a SALE!!!

I made about a zillion of these for Christmas gifts, and managed to give them all away except these last ten before I remembered to take a picture. Go figure! Each set had 20 coasters, and there were four *edge* colors – Only Orange, Pink Passion, Green Galore, and YoYo Yellow. Here, I just have 10 of the Pink Passion ones. The coasters are just the plain chipboard coasters – designed with the idea of being disposable. To help with the after-gathering clean up!

I stamped the $1 margarita stamp on the coaster with Black Stazon, and colored it with my SU markers. I used Stampin Spots to do the edges. This was totally I super simple project – I even took them into work and worked on them during my lunch hour.

Happily, they were a smashing success. DH took a set to use for his office *Greedy Santa*, and the coasters were fought over! I’m so flattered!!
I also gave a set to a friend that just bought a houseboat, so she thought they were great. Both of my SIL’s got a set, as did my stepmother and future SIL. My mom got a set using stamps from Do the Hula and Beautiful Beach, but I forgot to take pics.

I made these for a friend of my husband’s. I stamped the cup in Timber Brown Stazon, the steam in Jet Black Stazon, and the bean and sentiment are in the brown stazon. The coasters are edged in Close to Cocoa and Creamy Caramel. I love love this Like it a Latte set — I think I will make some “New Year’s Happy Wishes” cards with them. It is such a fun set! I’ll probably do some Valentine’s Day cards with them too.

I did treat myself to some Lizzie Anne Designs and Inkadinkadoo stamps today, which I am planning to use for Valentine’s too. Want to know where I go them? Lindsey, aka Jacksonbelle, is having a sale over at her store, Jacksonbelle’s Embellishments. Almost everything is on sale — go get some stuff!

Here are the details for both sets of coasters:

Stamps: Like it a Latte; Mike’s $1 Margarita stamp
Ink: Timber Brown and Jet Black Stazon; Pink Passion
