LPS Monday

LPS_NeighPony_tbuIt is challenge time over at the {Little Paper Shop} blog again! This week we have an awesome sketch by Cindy Haffner (check out her blog here) – isn’t it the cutest? I inadvertently left out the long vertical piece on mine, but of well – it was just a guideline, right???

I just think this farmyard set that LPS makes is so stinkin’ adorable! This one reminds me of Butterscotch, my daughter’s animatronic pony. No real ones for her yet! He just looks so cuddly! And the sentiment cracks me up – don’t ask me why. It just tickles my funny bone in the right kind of way, lol.

Cindy_Haffner_LPS_2Here’s a copy of Cindy’s awesome sketch! I don’t think mine turned out too bad – I am bothered that I forgot the vertical piece because I’m silly like that. I might have to make another card to make it up to myself!

I colored my image with Copics and used Versafine Jet Black ink to stamp it with. I used Nesties to cut out my ovals. The dp came from Jacksonbelle’s store, but I don’t know what line it is – oops!

I hope everyone had a relaxing Mother’s Day yesterday, and I hope you all have a wonderful Monday (as far as Mondays go ;))

Just a Swingin’….

lps_sweetswinging_tbuI finally had time to participate in this week’s Sketch Challenge over at LPS! And I don’t think she could be any cuter! I am totally loving these new digi images that LPS has come out with – fabulous! My card base is Blush Blossom, my next layer is Wild Wasabi. My gorgeous dp is form Basic Grey’s Offbeat colection. The girl on the swing it printed on Naturals Cream cardstock and colored with Copics.

Better Late Than Never :)

tgf_mttsc8_tbu1Ok, I know it is sooooo late in the day, lol! But This is the card I made for Madelynn’s Twinkling Tuesday Sketch #8 and I just had to get it posted on the right day! I adore this Little Red Rding Hood digistamp from The Greeting Farm. She is too cute all decked out in pink! My card base is Cameo Coral, and I used a Copic Marker (R22) to match her outfit to it.  I also used a layer of Creamy Caramel and to make her really stand out a layer of Confetti White. And you really can’t tell, but that layer was cuttlebugged with the distressed stripes folder. I guess it is the light in my craft room.

img_3308 I also used Liquid Pearls in White Opal to place little kisses along the top and bottom, in between the stripes. I added a few to her cloak, and between the sentiments I used as wel. They are from the Panda Friends set over at The Greeting Farm. My ribbon is from the $1 spot at Mike’s — they have the best ribbon in those bins, I swear! Thanks to Madelynn again for another great sketch! Be sure to check out the brand new Madelynn’s Twinkling Tuesday blog, and check out her mom’s blog, The Whimsical Butterfly – she has blog candy!

Ohmygosh, I am so excited! Are you excited? Oooooh, you are gonna *loooooove* these new sets that Lizzie Anne is coming out with this week!!!! What’s that? Show you the samples already? Okay – get ready!!

lad_rockinschoolgirl_tbuThis first set is called School Days. Isn’t it *adorable*??? Ooooh – I just love the little chalkboard! And the super long alphabet stamp – perfect! But you know I super love the schoolgirl — how sa-weet is she?? There is a school boy too, and a globe, and…well, just go to the Lizzie Anne blog to check them out, lol. But oh, I am in heaven!

lad_homesweethome_tbuTHIS set is called Home Sweet Home, and it is darling! Lizzie Ane rocks at putting the cutest little houses, and now we can make a whole neighborhood! How great is this? I love that it comes with little fence pieces, so you can construct your own fence . And I *love* that the flower shop has a hanging basket off the side of it!!!! Oh, and there is a tree with a tire swing n this set — to0 darn adorable! To give credit where it is due, this sketch is Jeanne’s, and it was the LAD Sketch #58 . And the one above on the School Days card was also an LAD Sketch – #57 . Can you tell I’m excited about these?

lad_blueteaparty_tbuMy final sneak peek today is from a new set called Tea Time. And oh man is it perfect for anyone who loves tea! You can build your own tea pots, and the sentiments are adorable, and the little cups are darling, and I could go on and on and on….as soon as I saw this set I literally screamed out loud. My husband thought I was nuts (well, nutsier than usual).

Ok, that’s all I’ve got for today. Please be sure to check out the other Design Team Member’s blogs (listed on the right of the blog or on this page) as well as the Lizzie Anne blog for more sneak peeks! And be SURE to come back tomorrow, because I’ve got more new ones to show you!!!!!

A Jacksonbelle Sketch – Post 1 for today :)

jbelle-january-2009-sketchHere is the Jacksonbelle sketch for this Tuesday. When I first saw it, it was like 3:00 in the morning, and I was *man is this ever complicated* — but you know what? It isn’t!! I think (and I know I’m tooting my own horn here) I made one og the simplest, most gorgeous cards I have ever made with this sketch!  I *love* my card! Please feel free to play along – you don’t have to use JBelle stuff to play. If you upload your card to SCS, use the keyword JBE034, so everyone can see it 🙂 Also, you can leave a comment here linking to it, or on the JBelle blog! Ok, ready to see my card????

jbe_jbe034_tbuTaDa!!! *applause* Ok, you may not love it as much as I do – but ohmystars I am in love with it! My base is SU Kiwi Kiss. My patterned paper is from Prima’s Lucid Collection, which I got at Jacksonbelle’s store. I also got the coordinating Prima Flowers, from the same collection, at her store. I’m not sure they are still in stock, so I’m glad I snatched them when I did! These two happen to be a perfect match to Grovy Guava cardstock. Now, let me tell you about the stamps. They are from October Afternoon – this set is called For the Record. If you don’t have any, you had better get some of these acrylic stamps in a hurry!!! I loved how well etched they were, how cleanly and clearly they stamped, how clean they came when I cleaned them (because some clear stamps just don’t come “clean”, kwim?) – basically they were of awesome quality, imo. And I love things that coordinate – so that they have paper themes to go with stamps just sends me over the moon! These are amazing acrylic stamps. And don’t worry – the DT has begged for more sets in the store, lol!

While I’m thinking about it, let me send you to a sale! Lindsey has just placed *tons* more stuff in the clearance section of her site, to make room for the super fab goodies that wil come home from Winter CHA. So go check it out! Quickly, before I buy everything in there! And while you are there, don’t forget to grab the 4 new colors of Shimmerz Blingz, that you can’t buy anywhere but Jacksonbelle Embellishments!

I hope you have time to play along with this fabulous sketch – now that I’ve done it I can see SO many more possibilities for it! I can’t wait to see what you create 🙂

Another Madelynn’s Twinkling Tuesday!

lps_mttsc3_tbu I just did a quick card for Madelynn’s sketch this week – thankfully she went easy on us with a simple sketch!!! I appreciate it sweetie!!!! I used more paper from the pack my Dad gave me for Christmas, and I like the busy-baroque look of it. So I tried to make my image panel blend in with it. I used the Friends set from {Little Paper Shop}. My inks are Pearlescent Poppy and Coffee Bean, both by Brilliance. My cardstock colors are Rose Red and Whisper White, with dp by Me & My Big Ideas. I added some ribbon and a prima, and was all done with this one!

I hope she likes it 🙂

Madelynn’s Twinkling Tuesday

pps_mttsc2_tbuHere it is! This week’s sketch by Madelynn – isn’t it creative? When I first saw it I panicked – what was this girl trying to do to me, lol??? Triangles? Criss-cross stuff? Aaaack! But then I calmed down (after some deep breathing and a few chocolate covered cherries) and came up with this. I did flip the skecth so it was a horizontal card rather than a vertical one, which worked bettter with this Simply Cocoa image from Pink Papery Studios. mttsc2-sketch

I colored my image with Copics (I’m soooo happy I finally started my collection of these – have I mentioned that before?) and cut it out. She is mounted on dimensionals on the main panel, which is also mounted on dimensionals. And yes, that is a bottle cap you see there. When was the last time you used one of those? I have tons of them in my stash and figured, why not? So I punched out a circle of the Basic Grey Mellow dp, stuck it on there, and put it on the card!

I did switch up the sentiment a bit, because my main panel was so long, I used a word from the Simply Bath set, because I think there is nothing more relaxing than curling up in a chair with a cup of hot cocoa or hot tea! So, it made sense to me!

Thanks for the sketch, Madelynn – you did a great job, and I can’t wait to see next week’s!
