Now – my candy jar! Currently it holds bunny shaped, pastel colored marshmallows, but I’m hoping next it will hold peanut m&m’s!I colored the images with Copics, and added to the inside of the jar (I have a 3 year old). It’ s pretty darn simple, but I wanted her to be involved with the projet, so she felt like it was hers, too. She picked out the colors for the eggs 🙂 Sweet little one – why do they grow so fast?

Studio G Tiles

bunnytileOk. let me start off by saying this is not perfect. But everyone makes mistakes, right? I think mine was not letting the ink dry completely befoe I baked my tile in the oven. I’ll know better next time!

I used a Studio G Set to do this coaster- I love the set!!! I get me Studio G’s at Pez-a-Doodle Designs – she has a *crazy* selection of them! The tile is  $.32 cent one from Lowe’s —- oh how I love home improvement stores!

Anyway, I’ll do better next time – mistakes are good, I think.

A Little Birdie Told Me….

birdhouse2My daughter has a things for all things bird-related. Feeders, houses, cages – whatever. She loves it.  So I bought her this tiny on at Michael’s to paint and out in her room.

I started off by painting the whole thing gray, using an acrylic paint I had. Then I painted the roof with Coal Shimmerz Paints, and the house itself with the Flashee Fuschia. I colored my mushrooms using Prismacolor markers, cut then down a smidge, and aligned them with the left side of the house. There are stickles in the center of each flower, and on the tip of the perch. I wrapped the perch in linen thread, for no particular reason, lol! The whole house is super shimmery irl 🙂

My mushroom images are from InStyle Stamps! Aren’t they adorable?

Rainy Day Fund

iss_rainydayfund_tbuI gave up ordering and buying craft supplies for Lent. So to cheer myself up, I made this adorable Rainy Day Fund container to hold all of the $$$ I can pull together between now and Easter!!! Let me tell ou, there will be a shopping spree involved, lol.

I used Prima Harmony do, flowers, and ribbon – I love it when they package it all nice for me! My image is the fabulous Miss Suzie Q from InStyle Stamps. I figured she was perfect for my rainy day fund!

I love Target for many reasons, and this container is one of them. It’s Archer Farms cereal, and it is quite tasty!  But the coolest thing, for me, is that it comes in this handy container, that I just knew I could turn into something Fab! What do you think?

A Gift for My Munchkin

iss_hairbox_tbuSo, my daughter is forever having hairbands all over the house. I gave her one of those cheapie plastic boxes kids use for pencils, but wasn’t “cool” enough to warrant use. My solution is this cute little box, which used to hold HodgePodge Hardware. She loves it when I get my hair done and sit under one of the hair dryers, so I knew this image would be perfect.

iss_hairboxclose_tbuShe carries it everywhere and loves it! *Yay*! It’s the small victories that matter, lol. My image is from InStyle Stamps and I colored it with Copics. My paper and letter stickers are Basic Grey. And I think the Primas top this box off so well!! This was a really simple project – I think it took me about 30 minutes start to finish. Not bad 🙂

It’s an Exciting Friday Announcement!

pad_distresscupcakeframe_tnuI’m so excited to finally be able to share with you all that I am the newest member of the Pez-a Doodle Design Team! *YAY*!!!! If you’ve never visited the store, you totally should! Wait, I’m getting ahead of myself, lol. First let me tell you about today’s project! I took an dollar store wooden frame that was originally baby blue, and painted it with Tim Holtz Distress Paint, in the Peeled Paint Color. And holy toads does she stock a ton of different colors of these paints! I applied two coats, for extra crackle, because I love the super shabby look. When it was all dry, I rubbed Tea Stain ink on it to age it a bit, and to rub off some of the paint so the blue showed through.

You see, this started out as a Valentine’s Day project for my husband. But once I decided to put the cupcake image in there, I knew I was keeping it, lol. The actual picture size is 3×3, so I cut a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock to fit that, and then a piece of Basic Grey Eva to be that mat.I layered another piece of the Pretty in Pink, and adhered a cupcake stamped in Versafine ink on Confetti White cs and colored with Copics – scrumdiddlyumptios, don’tcha think? The darling embellie on the corner of the frame came from Marti over at Pez-a-Doodle, and I have a feeling someone made that little cutie by hand! sn’t it darling?!?! I put some pretty pink crocheted ribbon up top, and gave the frame a place of honor on my desk. I love it!

Ok, back to how great Pez-a-Doodle Designs is! My cupcake image came from their exclusive Polka Dot Pie stamp line. This particular image is from Chocolate Treats #1 and I swear I wanna eat it! Marti just got back from CHA, and is bringing tons of new stuff into the store. And you now what that means – almost everything currently in the store is on sale! So be sure to go chck that out! Guess what just arrived???? FLOWER SOFT!! I am so excited I could burst! I cannot wait to get my hands on this stuff!

I’m so thrilled to be joining this talented group of ladies at such an exciting time for the store. I can’t wait to show y’all some of the other stuff I’ve made, and to try out new goodies and show them to you! Be sure and check out the Pez-a Doodle blog as well as the blogs of the other DT members – Catherine, Christine, and Robin.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!!

I have some questions for you, my readers!

I’m going to try to do these in polls, to make answering easier. Thanks for the input! I’m working hard on prioritizing my time, and thought I’d gather from my wide circle of friends and acquaintances some of your daily rituals. So again, thanks for the input 🙂 Oh, and don’t worry – I’ll be back with some cards today, as soon as I take my little one to the doctor!
