Blossoming Embrace

This is a completely simple, straightforward card. I set out to do the color combo challenge over on SCS. About 3/4 of the way through the card, I realized that it would look better if the mat was Chocolate Chip instead of Close to Cocoa. SO what did I do? I cheated. My ink is Close to Cocoa, though!!!

I did feel like my piece of Basic Grey dp (the name of the line is escaping me, but I’ll find out and post it here)was too light, so I stamped the Sanded background on it, and then sponged all over it in Close to Cocoa. Much better.

My little image panel is done in the “cracked glass” style. But the light is bad, so you can’t really see the cracks. Trust me, they are there!!!!

Stamps: Embrace Life, Sanded
Paper: Blush Blossom, Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Versamark
Accessories: ribbon, word window punch, primas, brad, dimensionals, clear ep
Techniques: cracked glass
