Doodles, and a sale at one of my favorite stores!

I made this card for a friend at work, who is always available for a pep talk when I need it. And here lately, I’ve needed more than a few! I started with the Color Combo Challenge from Tuesday and went from there. My sweet little helper (DD) sat in my lap the entire time I worked on this, so it is a miracle the cuts are straight and it holds together, lol!

After my tiring workday, I was totally in the mood for a clean, no frills card. So the only “extras” this card has are the paper pierced holes at the top, which are colored with a white gel pen, and Stickles inside the jumbo eyelet on the doodle flower. Oh, there are also little specks of Stickles on the centers of the small flowers on the sentiment panel.

I stamped the doodle flower twice in Basic Gray ink, cut them out, and embossed them with clear powder. I used Groovy Guava ink and a blander pen to color the wording on the sentiment.  And for some final glitter, I outlined the scroll-doodle-thingy (nice decription, huh?) with a Sakura glitter pen.

In other super exciting news, Jacksonbelle Embellishments is offering a discount of 15% on your whole order through March 31st. Just use promo code Opening02 when you check out! She is now a “.com” store, instead of and ebay store — and it rocks!!!!!! I spent $75 in under ten minutes — there is so much great stuff in stock over there! The paper is delicious, I got some fun chipboard goodies, a new Lizze Anne set, some Inkadinkadoo stamps…I’ll take a picture of my loot when it all gets here 🙂 And if you have time, check out Lindeys’ blog, Embellished, – she always has the cutest projects on it!

Here are the details on the card I posted today:

Stamps: Doodle This, Time Well Spent
Paper: Basic Gray, Soft Sky, Whisper White, Fancy Pants dp
Ink: Basic Gray, Groovy Guava, Versamark
Accessories: clear ep, large eyelet, stickles, cropadile, blender pen, sakura glitter pen, paper piercer, white gel pen
Techniques: heat embossing, paper piercing
