InStyle Stamps Wednesday Challenge!

ISS_Ariel_tbuThis is Ariel, a digital image from InStyle Stamps. Isn’t she adorable? I sized her large, so she could be the main focus of my summer themed card.

She is colored with Copics, and then I painted Shimmerz on her top and he tail. So she is quite sparkly in real life!

I didn’t do much else, except use little bubble self adhesive thingies in the corner. I had some random dp that reminded me of the ocean, so I used that. My card base is River Rock, and my matting layer is Blue Bayou.

Head over to the Instyle Stamps blog for all of the details on our challenge, what the prize is for playing along, and how you can get in on the action! Also visit the blogs of the other Design Divas – their links are on the right sidebar.

Beach Bunny

ISS_BeachBunny_tbuThis is Beach Bunny, from the InStyle Stamps line of Beach Time Fun Digital Downloads. Isn’t she fun??

To match the color on both the bottle of suntan lotion and the sun (both buttons I purchased from Hobby Lobby in a “beachy” pack) I got out my Copics to see what would work best. On the towel, I went with my darkest yellow, an highlight of brown to match the bottle.

I added an Imaginisce sentiment, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, to make the white space go away, highlighted with More Mustard just as my main image panel is. My dp is by Prima, from their Eire collection. My card base is Basic Black, to complement her sunglasses and the ink color on the sentiment.

To get the best view of the picture, click on it to make it bigger. I really love this card!

Barb is Bowling!

ISS_PolkaDotBowling_tbuThis is Barb, and she is one of the retro images from InStyle stamps. Isn’t she the most fun? I love that she is bowling! I haven’t done that in so long! I totally want to go now though – she has inspired me, lol!

I colored her using Copic markers, and made the bowling ball polka dotted just for fun. The rest of the card is pretty underwhelming – plain and simple. I do love the Primas  I used – they are from the Carribean collection, St. Martin, by Prima. I can’t remember where I bought them, but I love them!

Have a great Sunday, everyone!

Meet Jet

iss_casjet_tbuThis is Jet, and he is an Anime stamp from InStyle Stamps. I’ve never used an anime image before, so I was a little nervuos. Because he’s a boy, I figured I’d make a boyish card – no frills, masculine colors. How’d I do?

I love it when a clean and simple card comes together. I watercolored Jet’s clothes to match the cardstock I used, and ran the white strip through the Cuttlebug before adhering it. I went with Riding Hood Red and Pacific Point to go along with my boyish theme.

It was really hard to leave this card alone, lol. But I did, and I’m pleased with the results!

Little Blue Cuppa

iss_bluecuppa_tbuHOW CUTE is this notecard? I am so in love with it! It was super easy because I used digi paper from InStyle Stamps, as well as one of their digital images. Can’t get any easier than that, lol! I colored my image with Copic markers. The paper was printed on GP white cardstock (from Wal Mart) and it turned out great!

Have you checked out the selection of digi stamps at InStyle Stamps? It is crazy! They totally have something for everyone!

I’m sure I’ll be back lalter for more posting today, but I wanted to get everyone started with a nice cuppa, for a realxing morning! Happy Saturday!taylorsig11

How Relaxing!

iss_sheree_tbuMeet Sheree. How relaxed does she look?? My stamp is from InStyle Stamps, and I just love her. Wouldn’t it be nice to feel llike she does everyday?

I colored the image with Copic markers. The bubbles are covered in Icicle Stickles, which happen to have caught the light and look very green in this pic. I promise it changes colors irl!! I also went ahead and added a sentiment panel, cut with Nesties. I am trying to create a stash of cards that only need a sentiment added, so I have stuff ready that can be used for whatever appropriate occasion arises – I feel so proactive! Dew Drops, a piece of ribbon, and the corner rounder finished this card up for me – I kept it simple for once 🙂

Be sure and check the InStyle Stamps Blog for fun challenges and sneak peeks of newly released stamps!

Thankful Thursday

iss_ttginger032609_tbu

It’s Thankful Thursday over at InStyle Stamps! I love this day – it reminds me both to be thankful and helps me to increase my thank you card stash, which rocks.  This cutie is Miss Ginger, and she is too much fun. I decided to go vintage rather than retro, so I dug out some Daisy D’s French Market paper and went to town. It really is split into three panels, but it blends so well with the Creamy Caramel, it’s hard to tell. Ginger is colored using Copic markers.

I used my Nesties to cut out Ginger’s oval, as well as the scalloped one. I sponged it with Tea Stain ink,  and used the Inkssential tool to apply it. I got them at Pez-a-Doodle Designs and cannot live without them!

Then I filled my card with Primas and added a thank you sentiment, and I was all done!

Not Sanctioned by the Dharma Initiative, lol!

iss_lovebugBut it’s WAY cuter!!!! This is a digistamp from InStyle stamps, and  it is *way* fun! I knew I had to go loud and fun with it the first time I used it.

I dug out some seriously busy Urban Lilly paper and cut two thin strips, to make another “frame”. Then I went to town pimping my ride!!!! To behave like an adult, I added primas and a sparkly black brad .I had *TOO* much fun with this!!! This image makes me so happy!

A Little Birdie Told Me….

birdhouse2My daughter has a things for all things bird-related. Feeders, houses, cages – whatever. She loves it.  So I bought her this tiny on at Michael’s to paint and out in her room.

I started off by painting the whole thing gray, using an acrylic paint I had. Then I painted the roof with Coal Shimmerz Paints, and the house itself with the Flashee Fuschia. I colored my mushrooms using Prismacolor markers, cut then down a smidge, and aligned them with the left side of the house. There are stickles in the center of each flower, and on the tip of the perch. I wrapped the perch in linen thread, for no particular reason, lol! The whole house is super shimmery irl 🙂

My mushroom images are from InStyle Stamps! Aren’t they adorable?

Rainy Day Fund

iss_rainydayfund_tbuI gave up ordering and buying craft supplies for Lent. So to cheer myself up, I made this adorable Rainy Day Fund container to hold all of the $$$ I can pull together between now and Easter!!! Let me tell ou, there will be a shopping spree involved, lol.

I used Prima Harmony do, flowers, and ribbon – I love it when they package it all nice for me! My image is the fabulous Miss Suzie Q from InStyle Stamps. I figured she was perfect for my rainy day fund!

I love Target for many reasons, and this container is one of them. It’s Archer Farms cereal, and it is quite tasty!  But the coolest thing, for me, is that it comes in this handy container, that I just knew I could turn into something Fab! What do you think?

Surf’s Up!

iss_surfergirl_tbuCheck this awesomenes out! Over at InStyle stamps, you can get COLORED digi images! How easy peasy is that? Go chck them out! They have one set, foro $7.50, and it comes with all sorts of fun images!!!

It’s rainy day here, so this image was totally speaking my language – what a pick me up, colorwise! All I had to do was pick coordinating papers and ribbon. I threw on some pebble stickers js for fun, and this card was done!

I do so enjoy working with InStyle stamos – they are so fun!! 🙂

Love Shrooms!

iss_loveshrooms_tbuThis is a digistamp from InStyle Stamps. Adorable, yes?

What I think is so cool about digistamps is that you can pick any size you want them to be, and go from thre. I chose large for this one, because I wanted it to feel like a notecard. I colored the whole thing with Copics, added primas along the grass line, and some ribbon near the bottom. Extremely simple, yet I just love it! You will be seeing more of these in the future from me!

A Gift for My Munchkin

iss_hairbox_tbuSo, my daughter is forever having hairbands all over the house. I gave her one of those cheapie plastic boxes kids use for pencils, but wasn’t “cool” enough to warrant use. My solution is this cute little box, which used to hold HodgePodge Hardware. She loves it when I get my hair done and sit under one of the hair dryers, so I knew this image would be perfect.

iss_hairboxclose_tbuShe carries it everywhere and loves it! *Yay*! It’s the small victories that matter, lol. My image is from InStyle Stamps and I colored it with Copics. My paper and letter stickers are Basic Grey. And I think the Primas top this box off so well!! This was a really simple project – I think it took me about 30 minutes start to finish. Not bad 🙂

Shopping with Suzie Q.

iss_suzieqshopper_tbuHi everyone! I hope you  are having a fabulous Valentine’s Day. My dear sweet hubby gave me the gift of quiet time alone in my craft time, and I must say it has been awesome! Here is a card I made that I am dying to show y’all!

Some of you may have noticed that over on the left under my “guest designer” spots, a new one showed up recently. That’s right – I’m a Guest Designer for InStyle Stamps for February and March! How fun is that? Their stamps are so cool – I love the retro girls and all of the digistamps – they have a *huge* variety! You should check them out!

This card features Suzie Q, who is definitely one of my fav Retro girls. Why? Because she is out shopping, of course! Who doesn’t love that???? My vard base is Night of Navy (SU), the next layer is Old Olive (SU), and the dp is from my scrap bin – and I cannot remember for the life of me who makes it. So if you know, tell me! I thought it was American Craft, but apparently not, lol. My mat layer for the image is Pretty in Pink (SU) and the stamp itself is on Confetti White (SU).

I colored Suzie Q. with Copics. Her sunglasses and hoop earring are colored with my gold gel pen, for a little bling effect. My “Smile” paperclip came from Target – they had several packs on clearance and I scarfed them all up! I also put Dew Drops across the top, and one on the green bag as a fun little accent. I used pink grosgrain ribbon underneath the panels, and accented them with olive organdy polka dotted ribbon. I just love this card – it totally makes me smile! Now I just have to figure out which shopaholic friend I’m going to send it to!

I hope y’all are as excited as I am about seeing more prokjects with products from InStyle Stamps. They rock!
